The potential health consequences are big, particularly for those that spend more of their day sitting.

Keeping your body inactive for long periods of time can increase your chances of developing several diseases, including cardiovascular problems, type 2 diabetes and some type of cancers.

But one hour of physical activity daily can neutralize your possibilities of disease, according to one of the papers that form part of the series published in The Lancet.
