Should Man’s Shoes and Belt Always Match?

Most menswear agrees that a Man´s shoes and belt should match, the more dressy the outfit, the more this rule should be respected. If you are wearing a suit, your belt and shoes should match in color, leather finish and texture. Needless to say, black and brown should be kept apart.

But you might be surprised by how you can break this rule and still look nice, of course, that doesn’t mean you can wear a white belt with flat brown leather shoes and not look ridiculous. You should still try to keep your accessories in the same tonal family.
